The questions tests your preparation in The Agile and Predictive life cycles. Going through the Agile principles, all the 10 knowledge areas, 5 Process groups and 3 Domains reference to PMI-Agile Practice Guide, PMI-PMBOK Guide edition 6 and new 2021 PMP exam content outlines.
What’s new in the PMP 2022 exam?
1. Introduction of PMBOK Guide 7 as a reference for the exam preparation.
2. The PMP ® certification exam will focus on three new domains with its percentage:
Domain I. People (42%): Emphasizing the skills and activities associated with effectively leading a project team.
Domain II. Process (50%): Reinforcing the technical aspects of managing a project
Domain III. Business Environment (8%): Highlighting the connection between projects and organization strategy
3. Number of questions: 180 questions, but the same number of questions will be scored
4. Exam duration: 230 minutes to complete the exam
5. One additional break for a total of two 10-minute breaks for computer-based tests.
6. Questions will be a combination of multiple-choice, multiple responses, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank
Note: As per PMI announcement, there are noticeable differences between the updated PMP Examination Content Outline and A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition. While there are some commonalities, it is important to note that the volunteer taskforce involved in the study described previously were not bound by the PMBOK® Guide. The taskforce members were charged with outlining critical job tasks of individuals who lead and direct projects based on their experience and pertinent resources.
