Have you ever been hacked?  Do you know someone who has been but aren’t sure how to protect yourself?  Are you concerned that you might not be doing enough to protect yourself against hackers or scammers?  

Then this is the class for you.  

Passwords are our first line of defense against hackers gaining access to our computers and online accounts.  So it makes sense that we should do all we can to protect them.  In this course, you will learn all about strong passwords and how to use them to stop hackers in their tracks.

Cybersecurity and Internet Safety doesn’t have to be hard, you can learn some simple tricks here and make it that much harder for attackers to access your private information.

What can you learn from this course?

After going through the course you should be able to do the following small projects:

  1. Generate a strong and memorable password
  2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication on your accounts

For your project, you should take 5 accounts that are important to you (email, social media, bank accounts, etc.) and change the password to a memorable strong password.  Bonus points if you enable Two-Factor Authentication on the accounts as well.
