Hi, I’m Holger!
20 years have passed since I founded a leading Insights and Branding Agency in Shanghai, helping global and local brands gain and expand a strong foothold in one of the most exciting, mindblowing and challenging markets on the planet, while also working with brand teams in India, Europe and North America.
Along the way I continuously sharpened cutting-edge skills that helped me better understand what motivates people, what is emotionally relevant,  and how to apply insights to crafting compelling brand communication.
I spcialize in exploring motivations, perceptions and behavior via intelligent application of cognitive and behavioral psychology techniques.  Over the years I have developed innovative techniques to decode customers’ subliminal decision-making processes, using narrative psychology in particular, and helped leading global brands to create impactful brand experiences and communication.
On the creative side, I am an avid storyteller, screenwriter and filmmaker, I have created original stories for branded entertainment, for TV / streaming shows in the US, Taiwan and China. I am also currently writing my own hilarious China story, spanning almost three decades of ‘trauma and triumph’.
