The process of making art can relieve stress and allow us to explore emotions. A visual journal is a way to use art to delve into our worries, concerns, and fears. And, when world events, such as the corona virus, changes people’s routines and cause us to take isolating measures, we need to find a way to reduce our anxiety.
In today’s class Creating a Social Distance Visual Journal, we will make a visual journal as a way to express what’s going on in our minds and put it on paper. This process is both uplifting and calming.
- Today’s class gives instructions in two parts: creating a journal and filling the journal with artwork, inspired by prompts.
Students can use existing journals and use the prompts as starting points on your visual journey or assemble the journal using materials you already own, then fill the pages.
