I’m going to show you how to improve your animal drawings from the ground up. Animals can seem complicated to draw and tough to get right, but i’ll show you how to see the animals as shapes and forms, which will help you create amazing animal drawings and fun, memorable character designs.
I’ll be using Procreate 5x on 1st Gen Ipad Pro, but feel free to use any application you’re comfortable with! I’ll also include a link to my Favs Brush Pack: drugfreedave.com/brushes
Your class project will be ongoing, and end in a completed penguin!
After you’ve completed a video, save your image separately. (save as transparent png or just as regular jpg)
At the end, you will have a blueprint of how you started with shapes and constructed a finished artwork.
Add them all together on one page, and there you have it, class project complete!
Feel free to use other animals to draw, as you can use all of the steps i’ll show you with the penguin on any other animal! It might be easiest to start with our little hero penguin though :)
