Founded in Tema, Ghana, OULAMII SOOJ refers to “ALL STARS” in the local language, we believe each of us is unique and talented. The ensemble is officially registered in the Centre for National Culture, Accra featuring their professional West African music performance that blends traditional dance and music with history. It is dedicated to continue and promote the distinct West African music culture, with all the drummers, percussionists, dancers, and singers in the group. We present programs with special visual and sensational experience to the audiences.
Apart from local programs, members of the groups have been traveling to Europe, Australia, and Asia to share the music and unique culture through series of performances and workshops relating to African music, dance, and cultural experiences.
The group also partnered and collaborated with universities, schools, NGOs and corporates to mobilize and empower the communities, especially the underserved population, through various community-based music projects to promote the concept of cultural diversity, equality, and social inclusion.
It is hoped that this online platform will spread the group’s music and spirit regardless of time and border. You are invited to watch and share our videos with families and friends to be delighted and inspired by our music and cultures!
