 – how stocks return value to their shareholders, either via dividends or buybacks;

 – what stock classes are and why they matter;

 – how to perform fundamental analysis of a company via valuation and industry comparison;

 – how to read price charts and perform technical analysis.

When you’re finished watching the class make sure to check out the class project: it’s a step-by-step guide to finding great stocks via several free online tools.

What can you learn from this course?

Apply what you’ve learned from this class by filtering stocks through your stock screener and then performing an industry comparison of their fundamentals:

1. Visit  FinViz’s stock screener and play around with the filters to find stocks matching your criteria;

2. Keep an eye out for stocks that make you think “I should buy this” and write down their tickers;
