Line drawing is an easy art form featuring illustrative, doodle-like designs. It’s used widely among artists of many types with both fine lines and bold lines. This class is a follow up from my Botanical Line Drawing class featuring flowers and leaves (which is not needed to take this class, although you should because it’s fun!), and goes over 20 types of cacti and succulents. 

This class will go over the following cacti and succulents in a “doodle” illustrated form

What can you learn from this course?

For the class project, I’d love to see your drawings, of course! But moving it a step further, I encourage you to come up with a line drawing on an object of some kind. Some ideas of objects to apply your drawings onto include wood slices, journal covers, wood frames for pictures or mirrors, plant pots, file boxes, etc.

There is also a reference chart in the class resources that you can save/print for when you aren’t able to rewatch the videos. Note: You can find attached files under the “Your Project” tab, then on the right side. Class resources cannot be accessed on mobile devices.
