About the course

The average person burns less than 1/3 the amount of calories that our ancestors did 120 years ago. The reason is because we enjoy many technologically advanced appliances and devices that prevent our having to spend many hours each day on minor chores, and, the average person now spends between 6-8 hours each day sitting at work, sitting at a computer, gaming, surfing the Internet, and communicating with others on social media. We now consume about 1000 calories per day. The food pyramid that has been promoted by doctors for decades is now hopelessly outdated. Many foods that have been staples in the diet are no longer advised. This video lesson will clear up all of the confusion surrounding diet, will teach you how to balance carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, and the omega 3s and omega 6s. All of which have important impacts on blood sugar management.

What can you learn from this course?

Your challenge will be to completely overhaul your diet. You will eliminate all processed foods, fast food, and junk food. You will learn that other foods, like dairy, are not good for diabetics. Most artificial sweeteners are detrimental. You will learn that you cannot eat too much fruit. You will learn why fiber is so important. And, since 85% of all diabetics die from heart disease, it will be very important that you balance the omega 3s and omega 6s. Omega 6s are found in all plant based foods, even the healthiest vegetables. Omega 6s cause massive amounts of inflammation. Omega 3s balance that out and stop inflammation which is very important for preventing the development of heart disease. The benefits will be a significant improvement in blood sugar control, and the prevention of dangerous diabetic complications.
