About the course

Hi everyone, and welcome!
If you are a helping professional of any kind (e.g., mental health therapist, medical provider, graduate student in psychology, counseling, or related field, and another professional in any helping or caregiving roles) who is facing job-related burnout or compassion fatigue – this course is for you! We’re living and working through incredibly stressful times and need to find sustainable ways to help us address feelings of burnout – or prevent it from happening in the first place.
This course is full of both psychoeducational information and self-reflective practice. You will learn the definitions and warning signs of burnout, also known as compassion fatigue, and assess your current burnout level, so you can learn specific and targeted self-care and other techniques to directly address this. You will also learn about and identify the core concepts of self-compassion and assess your current self-compassion levels.
Most importantly, this is an interactive and experiential course; I have woven in several different types of mindfulness, meditation, and self-compassion exercises to practice throughout this course – so you get a chance to really feel the benefits of these strategies in the moment, and to take with you to incorporate into your daily life.
