This course will recap the basics on the Djembe drum, including technique around the three main sounds – bass, tone and slap. You will then move on to learning another great rhythm called Jetijeti.
You will be surprised at how quick and easy it is to pick up all three parts and intro of the new rhythm. Clear instructions are broken down at a pace that is easy to follow, coupled with an over the shoulder camera angle to ensure you get the perfect handing and technique every time.
Notation for all rhythms is included incase you would like to reference it, however reading notation is in no way necessary to enjoy this course. Everything you need to pick up these great West African rhythms is included in the high quality video, which is accompanied by hi fidelity stereo sound so that you can enjoy your practice time.
Once you have practiced the rhythms and are feeling confident we will bring the tempo up to speed so that you can really start to groove. After this you can then enjoy a play along video that you can practice all the parts of the rhythm to, or even freestyle over!
