People are different — while this fulfills our lives, it is also the number one contributor to misunderstandings and conflicts. Realizing that other people are another sphere of interests, expectations, and needs, it’s vital to explore territories where our spheres overlap and establish a common ground.
Collaboration, or win-win strategies, includes an understanding of each other’s interests, expectations and needs and coming to a mutual agreement. Therefore, to be successful in collaboration one should first develop a certain mindset and then implement special techniques to create solutions that will satisfy both parties.
This is the precise purpose of this lesson — to provide guidelines on collaborating and negotiating successfully.
